If you havenā€™t heard of it there is a setting called Dehaze (available in Adobe Lightroom and other similar photo editing apps). It removes haze and other similar atmospheric elements to bring out contrast and details. Great for Aurora images (IMO) and images with blown out clouds etc

Who would be up for booking with me on an upcoming Who would be up for booking with me on an upcoming whale adventure? It would be an all day tour (7-8hrs) that includes a lunch break in the middle? I have an itching to get out on the water in hopes of seeing some of the amazing marine wildlife we have up near and around the Campbell River area! I am always up for chatting about photography while on the boat too! Things from camera settings, tips on how to make the best use of the equipment you have etc! *Animals Iā€™ve seem on previous tours: Eagles, Orcas, Humpbacks, Sealions, Seals, Pacific White-sided Dolphins, Harbour Porpoises, Dallā€™s Porpoises, Caspian Terns, variety of Cormorants, Kingfishers, Long-tailed Ducks and more!
We finally managed to see Battleship Lake here on We finally managed to see Battleship Lake here on Vancouver Island. Itā€™s not a hard walk/hike but we just have never been until now. You park at the Raven Lodge at @mountwashington and start on the Paradise Meadows trail. Then you continue up a bit of the mountain and eventually you come to the beginning of the lake. The trip there and back was about 2hrs 30mins with an elevation gain of 114m (374ft). Our three kids didnā€™t complain once (finally) and our littlest (sheā€™s five) walked the whole way without being tired or asking to be carried. Thatā€™s a win in our books.

We needed to reclaim some of the space in our gara We needed to reclaim some of the space in our garage and our bikes take up a fair amount of room. My wife came across @steadyrack and we decided to pick up three of them. Installation was pretty straightforward and once I got three up on the wall, putting up and taking down the bikes was a synch. It has allowed us to reclaim some space! It puts them out of the way so they arenā€™t falling over or being pushed against other things. Iā€™m so far loving them.
