First LEGO Kit: City Race Plane 60144

While ‘A’ is growing up I have been wanting to try his hand at building a LEGO set. Unfortunately the minimal age that any set I have seen has been ages 5 and up. Well at 3.5 years old, ‘A’ isn’t quite yet 5. But I thought I would try and find a smaller kit…

Product Review: Netgear Powerline PL1200 Extend Your Network

Most homes these days have some sort of computer network. Be it wired with cables or wireless with Wi-Fi. Though, say you want to extend your network into a bedroom or a newly renovated home office. You might not feel comfortable punching holes in walls and running Ethernet cables around the house, or perhaps your…

The mix of performers was entertaining and everyone in the Big Top enjoyed the show!

I’m now having to go through a bunch of video clips I took also.

It was time to replace my original @vessi “Cloudbu It was time to replace my original @vessi “Cloudburst” with a fresh pair of Stormburst High Tops this holiday season. By far, the Stormburst have been my favourite Vessi shoes (I have had 7 pairs of different types) and they have been on many adventures.

My originals have kept my socks dry for the most part, but like all good things, they are feeling their age. My socks are no longer dry and I can’t let wet feet ruin our adventures!

Looking forward to many new adventures in my new Stormburst shoes!

Did I mention they have coffee and tea there too? A great place to check out, grab a cup and browse the various artists!

When you hear “who do you cook for” you know there When you hear “who do you cook for” you know there is an owl nearby. The trick is though, trying to find it when it decides to nap and make no more noise.

I figured out what tree it was going to be in (if it was still there when we came back), but it was my oldest daughter who saw it right away in the tree I thought it would be in. It took me a while to eventually see it on a branch high up. It opened its eyes a couple times as I hung around, but essentially it went back to sleep.

The amount of water a Humpback can displace during a breach is spectacular!
Anyone else like to set up their camera and tripod Anyone else like to set up their camera and tripod and capture a fireworks show as stills?

I do. I fiddle around settings but typically shoot around 8” to 10” at f11 and a low ISO. With my wired cable release I sit (or stand) and click away as I watch the fireworks display not through the camera. Then I get home and check to see how the images showed up.
